Drew County Sheriff's Department arrested a local man for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl and sexually assaulting another on separate occasions. 

Jay Webb, 37, is alleged to have sexually assaulted one of the two girls on July 14 while she was visiting a friend at Webb’s home in the Florence community.  While investigating the first girl’s report of sexual assault, authorities learned there may have been a second alleged victim.

During an interview with the second 17-year-old girl, she told the investigator that Webb forcibly raped her on April 28, 2013 at his home. She was also visiting a friend at Webb’s home when the alleged rape is said to have occurred.

Webb was arrested Monday and had a bond hearing Tuesday. 

Circuit Judge Bynum Gibson set Webb’s bond at $50,000.
