According to Sheriff Mark Gober, authorities with the Drew County Sheriff’s Department, Monticello Police Department, and Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Thursday, October 25^th, at a residence at Oak View Apartments located on West Jackson Street.  A couple at the residence, John A. Green, age 26, and Michea Carr, age 20, both of Monticello, were arrested at the scene after authorities discovered at the residence a large amount of a white substance believed to be cocaine and a large amount of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.   Green and Carr were transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where they were both charged with delivery of cocaine and proximity of certain facilities. They were taken for a first appearance before Circuit Judge Bynum Gibson on Friday, October 26^th, who issued each a $25,000 bond. Green and Carr remain incarcerated at this time.
