Local Woman Charged with Thefts in Multiple Counties

05/04/2012

According to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober, the Drew County Sheriff's Department arrested Samantha Robertson, age 28 of Monticello, on Wednesday, May 2nd, for her connection to four thefts this past week in Drew County after authorities conducted a search warrant on her residence at 715 South Maple Street in Monticello. During the search of the residence, authorities discovered two marijuana pipes, marijuana seeds, two glass "crack" pipes, two smoked marijuana cigarettes, as well as property that had allegedly been taken from residences in Drew and Lincoln counties. All drug paraphernalia located was found to be within arm-reach of the child that also lived in the residence.

Robertson was arrested and transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where she will likely be charged with breaking or entering, theft of property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a child. She was taken for a first appearance on Friday before District Judge Ken Harper who issued a $25,000 bond for the Drew County warrant and a $2,500 bond for a Bradley County warrant. She is currently being held in the Detention Facility.

Robertson had been previously cited last week for two thefts that occurred in Drew County after she admitted to investigators during a traffic stop that items in her vehicle were stolen.
