Woman Arrested on Multiple Charges Including Endangering A Child

02/28/2012

On February 23 at approximately 3:30 pm, the Drew County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a possible disturbance at 124 Hart Avenue in Wilmar. While in route to the residence, a deputy was notified that the women involved had busted the windows out on the residence and car and also had weapons in their possession. When the deputy arrived, he observed three women standing in the street and one, Junero Thompson, 22 of Little Rock, in the yard of the residence.

The owner of the house told deputies that Thompson and the three other women knocked on his door and tried to rush into the house when he opened the door. He forced the door shut and then saw Thompson grab a blunt object and strike the residence windows and the windshield on his vehicle. When the owner told Thompson that he had called 911, she allegedly threatened to kill him and grabbed a knife and then began to charge at him with it.

Thompson admitted to deputies that she did have a knife but she threw it away when she heard sirens and did not know where it was. Deputies did find a knife case in her vehicle. Thompson was arrested and transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where she was charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a minor 2nd degree. Thompson was taken for a first appearance where she was given a bond of $7,500. The bonded out on February 24.
