On the January 15 at approximately 1:00 am, a Drew County Sheriff Deputy arrested Jeremy Gill, 21 of Monticello, for assaulting a female and pointing a gun at her and her friend after a fraternity party at the Drew County Fairgrounds. Gill was transported to the Drew County Detention Facility where he will likely be charged with aggravated assault and 1^st degree battery. Gill was taken for a first appearance on January 17 and was released on his own recognizance.
